La VIRTUS è rinnovatissima, più completa e per certi versi sembrava molto più diretta verso i canoni cestistici di Coach Banchi. Tuttavia stagione non è andata inizialmente come auspicato e sono arrivate le dimissioni del Coach, sostituito da Dusko Ivanovic.
