Devon Hall is our ROOKIE OF THE YEAR after a strong fist Euroleague season with Olimpia Milano.

Devon Hall is the ROOKIE OF THE YEAR for 2021/22 Euroleague season as per Eurodevotion staff.

He was selected by our staff writers 7 times out of 19 possible votes.

Elie Okobo got 4 preferences, just one more than Donta Hall and Alpha Diallo, then the sensational youngster Victor Wembanyama, who got 2 votes.

With just one year spent in Europe with Brose Bamberg he immediately showed that was not a problem at all, being consistent on offence as well as on defense. He’s been used by his Coach as a point guard too, while on D he was able to guard at least 3 different type of opponents.

Some of his best performances came facing powerhouses like Efes, Barça, Real and Cska and that was something really impressive for a rookie showing his best face against the greatest rivals.

His “career highs” are 21 points, 19 PIR, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals and 34 minutes played.

Now it’s Playoff time and for sure he will play a fundamental role in the future of Olimpia Milan postseason.

Turning only 27 in july, next step is about improving his consistency and continuity so that he can jump to another level, it is to say the Euroleague superstar status.

After Nicolò Melli selection as “best defender” and Sasha Vezenkov as Most Improved Player this is the third award from Eurodevotion staff. Coach of the Year, MVP and Best Starting 5 will follow within shortly.
