Euroleague faces two days of rescheduled games before tipping off Round 23. Real Madrid will receive Unics in Wizink Center: new rivalries growing…

Tuesday in Euroleague means usually the first day of a double round week but today is all about rescheduled games.

REAL v UNICS – jan 25th 2045 CET

Los blancos receive Unics Kazan in a game between two of the hottest club in Europe. 11/1 the record in the last 12 clashes for Pablo Laso’s team while Unics is 11/3 after a sloppy start.

In Round 7 in Kazan it was all about Unics defense. 58 points score by Real, the fewest in the season, with 33 points combined by Tavares, Yabusele and Poirier. Only 25 by the other “merengues” with only 7 points in the last quarter.

Unics was very competitive in the battle of the boards (34/35) and this part of the game will be one of the most important keys tonight too.

The two teams shoot a total of 10/46 from the arc and there was just one assist more than the turnovers (36/35).

It’s pretty normal to expect a higher quality basketball event in the Spanish capital.

The “Browns effect” was not so high in Tatarstan: only 15 points, 9 from Lorenzo and 6 from John. These guys heated up in the last part of the season and are expected to lead their team to try to conquer an undefeated hardwood.

Unics-Barça

Real lost just 3 games till now but one of those loss came against Unics: it’s a new rivalry, growing and growing thanks to Unics climbing to the top european level.

The boost for the “La Liga” and Euroleague top ranked could come from the “clàsico” they lost at home on Sunday.

MACCABI V ALBA – jan 26th 2015 CET

Is the fall definitely behind? This is the question for Ioannis Sfairopoulos and Maccabi. Defeating Olympiacos needs to be a kind of restart after 8 consecutive losses.

There’s no more room for any kind of mistake in Tel Aviv if they want to try a comeback and be competitive for the Playoff race.

Alba will just play its usual basketball. Rhythm and bold plays trying to be better and better.

ASVEL v BAYERN – jan 25th 2100 CET

It’s still a game with too many missing players.

Wembanyama, Lighty, Morgan and Howard on french side, Hilliard and Zipser on german one.

How would these teams be without all the problems they faced till now? Far better for sure, but these two coaches are guys that never give up, so… let’s play ball, we’ll enjoy the game.

PANATHINAIKOS v ZALGIRIS – jan 26th 2000 CET

What can we expect from the game between two teams combining for a 7/30 record till now, both coming from 5 consecutive losses?

Obviously we are not talking about the best Euroleague basketball but green color can’t be so faded.

So why not try to play good ball without any standings implication? Improving the level of basketball should be the mission for these teams, building something that could be so important for the future.

Just one commitment for both organization: next season starts now.
